POSCO stainless steel output & sales decline in Q1

According to the latest report published by POSCO, in the first quarter of 2020, the total stainless steel output of the company arrived at 481,000 tons, a 3.4% decrease compared with the same period of the past year and a 4.4% decrease compared with the past month.

Meanwhile, POSCO sold 469,000 tons of stainless steel products in the mentioned period. The amount declined by 7.5% compared with the past year and by 2.5% compared with the past month.

The report also showed that in the first quarter of 2020 the crude steel production of POSCO declined by 3.6% and 5.6% respectively compared with the same period of last year and the past month.
