According to reports, the third blast furnace of South Korean POSCO has now resumed production.

Although the global economy was in a state of recession, its third blast furnace still spent about 400 billion won in maintenance. After the third blast furnace was repaired, the annual output of crude steel increased by 25% to 4.6 million tons.

The resumption of production of this blast furnace was postponed twice due to reduced demand from automakers, construction companies, and shipyards. It was understood that some of POSCO's 18,000 employees have paid vacations starting June 16, but the company did not disclose specific details.
