Rio Tinto expected in its 2020 financial report that the demand for aluminum will rebound in 2021, while the demand might be restricted by the COVID-19 epidemic and political risks.

The transportation industry demand was weak last year, but the needs from the packaging industry were strong, according to Rio Tinto.

Rio Tinto takes an optimistic attitude about the outlook of the aluminum industry and is cautious about the epidemic.
