Rise in shipping prices has little impact on China's stainless steel exports

The pandemic has disrupted global supply chains for a long time, and shipping prices have been rising for two years. China's composite export containerized freight index was up by nearly 300% in mid-February 2020 year on year. The freight rates for China's recent exports to Europe and the US are still rising.

China's stainless steel industry chain is complete and stable supply, and competitive price advantage will also stimulate some replenishment demand of European and American enterprises. Therefore, the freight rise in Europe and the US had a certain impact on China's stainless steel exports, but the impact was not significant.
