Romania's Alro decreased primary aluminum production by reduced electrolysis halls from five to two because of high energy prices. The periods of technical unemployment might also be taken into consideration as well in 2022.

Alro targeted to cut down its costs and decrease the activity for next year, and the quantities of primary aluminum will no longer be produced.

In order to reach the goal of a balanced and efficient production mix, Alro also tried to take an effort to increase the portfolio of processed products and decrease the portfolio of primary products.

In 2022, Alro's plans will be based on preserving liquidity, ensuring timely payment of salaries, taxes, fees, and debts, and will try to decrease its dependence on electricity.

The company will resume all of its whole production activity only when energy market conditions come back to normal.
