Global primary aluminum output slides in Nov

According to statistics released by the International Aluminum Institute (IAI), global primary aluminum output amounted to 5.497 million tons in November this year, dropping by 3.4% from the revised 5.689 million tons in the previous month and decreasing by 0.2% from the same period last year.

The daily output of primary aluminum fell to 183,200 tons from last month, compared with 183,600 tons in the same period in 2020.

During the period, China's primary aluminum output was 3.4% lower than the revised 3.27 million tons in the previous month, reaching 3.16 million tons. The figure had a year-on-year decrease of 1.5%. China’s primary aluminum output accounted for 57.5% of global output.
