RUSAL Ball cooperates with for ultra-low-carbon aluminum containers

With this proprietary innovative inert anode technology, RUSAL successfully produced aluminum, which has been implemented as an industrial test line at its Krasnoyarsk smelter.

It was reported that Ball Corporation, a provider of metal packaging in the US, has signed an agreement with RUSAL for cooperation to supply ultra-low-carbon aluminum applied in the production of aerosols and other containers. The aluminum will be produced by RUSAL with its innovative inert anode technology.

According to RUSAL, this technology can produce aluminum with the lowest carbon footprint in the industry, and it is striving to expand this technology to a commercial scale.
