US’ line pipe imports hike in June

Among them, the imports from South Korea accounted for the largest proportion, totaling roughly 22,700 tons, a month-on-month hike of 7.16% and a year-on-year drop of 38.2%. Other import sources included Japan (around 4,800 tons), Mexico (around 2,300 tons), Ukraine (around 1,900 tons), and South Africa (around 1,900 tons).

According to the final Census Bureau data from the US Department of Commerce (USDOC), the US imported around 40,600 tons of line pipe in June, increasing by 8.5% compared to the previous month while sliding by 31.7% from the same month in 2020.

During the period, the import value totaled roughly US$41 million, up by 11.2% month on month and down by 21.1% year on year.
