RUSAL, a global leading aluminum supplier in Russia, has shipped out the first bauxite ore from its operations in Guinea, West Africa on Tuesday. The shipment was the first one since March 12, which might from the Dian-Dian bauxite mine.

In spite of sanctions imposed on Russia’s businesses impacting supply chains, RUSAL still continues its bauxite mining operation, alumina refining, as well as aluminum smelting works.

RUSAL hasn’t been directly listed on the sanction list, but its founder and major shareholder Oleg Deripaska has been under sanction due to his relationship with Russian President Putin.
