RUSAL, one of the global leading aluminum manufacturers based in Russia, announced that it will supply its low carbon aluminum, ALLOW, to its Aluminium Rheinfelden. The first shipment was scheduled for August 2021.

ALLOW’s carbon footprint is lower than 4 tons of CO2 per ton of aluminum, while the world average is currently around 12 tons of CO2 per ton of aluminum.

The use of ALLOW will increase the profile of Rheinfelden's proprietary alloys, bring new opportunities for business growth, raise competitiveness, as well as provide customers with a completely transparent and independently verified carbon footprint for key components.

RUSAL completes the acquisition of Aluminium Rheinfelden in April this year.
