It was reported by a Russian state-owned domestic news agency that a 15% export tax will be imposed on aluminum exports during the period from August 1 to December 31 this year, with a duty rate of US$254/ton.

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a formal decree on June 25, 2021, approving the export taxes on 340 types of non-ferrous metals and steel products.

The news agency said that the imposition of the export tax may ease the impact on the domestic market from external conditions and adjust the prices of metals and steel products.
