The Russian export tariffs will only affect the partial shipment of stainless steel products because most products were exported to the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) countries.

The USSA said that the export volume of stainless steel products totaled nearly 10 million tons in May, decreasing by 4.5% from the previous month but increasing by 7.9% compared with the same period last year.

In May, the import volume of stainless steel increased by 22.9% year on year to 40,130 tons and the production dropped by 2.5% year on year to 17,000 tons.
