Russia’s iron ore output falls in Jan-Jul

According to statistics from the Russian Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat), Russia produced around 23.3 million tons of iron ore in July this year, slightly dropping by 0.7% compared to the previous month and falling by 11.6% from the same month a year ago.
During the period, Russia’s iron ore concentrate output slid by nearly 1% month on month and by 13.4% year on year, reaching 7.5 million tons.
In the first seven months of this year, Russia’s iron ore production amounted to roughly 56.6 million tons, down by 3.7% year on year; the iron ore concentrate production fell by 3.7% year on year to 56.6 million tons.
