According to statistics released by the Russian Special Steel and Alloys Consumers and Suppliers Association (SpetsStal Association), Russia imported around 52,000 tons of stainless steel in April this year, rising by 29% compared to the previous month.
Among them, the imports of cold-rolled stainless steel hiked by 40% and hot-rolled stainless steel rose by 54%, both on a month-on-month basis. More than 95% of Russia’s stainless steel imports were sourced from China, Indonesia, and India.
