Russia’s stainless steel imports rise in Q1-Q3

According to statistics released by the Russian Special Steel and Alloys Consumers and Suppliers Association (SpetsStal Association), Russia imported around 368,000 tons of stainless steel in the first three quarters of this year, rising by 28% from the same period a year ago.

Among them, imports from China accounted for the largest proportion, with a share of 67%, followed by India’s 21% and Indonesia’s 6%.

During the period, Russia’s imports of stainless steel seamless pipes increased the most with a year-on-year hike of 117.3%, followed by stainless steel wire’s growth of 110%.
