Russia's stainless steel production grows in Jan

According to statistics from the Russian Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat), Russia's stainless steel production totaled around 17,000 tons in January, which decreased by 2.2% compared to the previous month while increased by 0.4% from the same month a year ago.

In 2020, Russia's stainless steel production amounted to roughly 204,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 1.3%.

Russian Special Steel and Alloys Consumers and Suppliers Association (USSA) pointed out that with the increase in demand, the global stainless steel prices obviously increased in January 2021.
