On a Year-on-Year scale, there has been an 8.67 per cent or RMB 1600 per tonne hike from RMB 18,460 per tonne recorded on March 9, last year.
The central provinces in China have all shown slight dips in aluminium prices. The only increase of RMB 10 per tonne was in Foshan, where the price stood at RMB 20,100 per tonne. Other than that, there have been uniform drops of RMB 50 per tonne in Gongyi, Wuxi, Hangzhou, Tianjin, and Linyi.
In Gongyi, the price stood at RMB 19,970 per tonne, while in the other provinces, the aluminium prices remained locked at RMB 20,060 per tonne each.
In Shenyang, the aluminium price has refrained from any change, staying stoic at RMB 20,070 per tonne. Lastly, the aluminium price in Chongqing has halted at RMB 20,030 per tonne, with a loss of RMB 30 per tonne.
