After a preliminary decision was made this July, South Korea’s Ministry of Economy and Finance has determined anti-dumping (AD) duties on stainless steel flat-rolled products originating in China, Taiwan, and Indonesia.

According to the determination, the final duty on China was adjusted to 23.69%- 25.82%, that on Taiwan was set at 7.17%- 9.47%, and Indonesia was assigned a rate of 25.82%.

Separately, five companies including China’s Taigang and its affiliates, Angang Lianzhong, Indonesia Tsingshan, Taiwan's Yieh United Steel Corporation (YUSCO), and Walsin Lihwa, were excluded from the duty imposition as they promised to lift their prices.

However, if the five companies fail to fulfill their commitment to raise prices, AD duties will be imposed on them.
