South Korea ends AD duties on Japan’s stainless steel plates

According to a notice from South Korea’s Ministry of Economy and Finance on February 5, 2024, the country decided to end the imposition of anti-dumping (AD) duties on stainless steel plates from Japan.

After a review investigation, the Korea Trade Commission (KTC) ruled on December 21, 2023 that the revocation of the AD measure on Japan’s stainless steel plates will not lead to the continuation or recurrence of the damage to the South Korean domestic industry, and the Ministry of Economy and Finance accepted the KTC’s final determination to terminate this AD order.

The products involved are classified under HS codes 7219.21.1010, 7219.21.1090, 7219.21.9000, 7219.22.1010, 7219.22.1090, and 7219.22.9000.
