The World Trade Organization (WTO) recently ruled that in the case of South Korea imposing anti-dumping (AD) duties on Japanese stainless steel bar, it determined that Japan won the case and recommended South Korea immediately repeal the tariff.

Before that, the South Korean government stated that Japanese goods have injured South Korea's domestic industries with low prices. They have imposed AD duties on stainless steel bars from Japan, India, and Spain since 2004, of which Japan is subject to a duty of 15.39%.

At present, the Japanese government is satisfied with the trial results from the WTO, while the South Korean government intended to appeal.
