South Korea’s crude steel output faces cold in 2020

According to the report from the Korea Iron and Steel Association, the total output of crude steel in South Korea for the first 9 months this year was only 49.6 million tons, which decreased by 7.5% year on year.

By the whole year prediction, the number for the crude steel output in South Korea might reach around 67 million tons to 68 million tons, which would be the worst performance since 2016.

By the global ranking of steel production, South Korea might drop to 6th this year, mainly suffered from the epidemic of Covid-19.
