South32, a mining and metals company headquartered in Australia, lowered its production guidance at its Mozal primary aluminum smelter by 8% to 340,000 tons for the year ended June 2023. Besides, the Cannington payable zinc equivalent production was also cut by 6% to 195,900 tons, and the nickel production forecast was decreased by 7% to 40,500 tons.

South32 said that the company was expected to achieve the full-year production guidance at most of its operations. CEO Graham Kerr said that the production for the fiscal year 2023 could increase with the improved market conditions.
