Continued strength in nickel prices prompted South Korean mills to raise stainless prices. South Korean manufacturers appeared to have raised the prices for March orders due to higher raw materials such as nickel and ferroalloys and a strong Korean won exchange rate.

It was commented that the demand market sentiment is not good this year. At the same time, it was said that the strengthening of nickel prices around mid-January is the only factor driving the market.

POSCO will also raise prices for March orders around next week.
