Taiwan recently imported around 60,000 tons of cold-rolled steel products from China, including 1B, CQ1, and CQ2. The import consignors were mainly the cutting and pipe making industry, as well as distributors. Some manufacturers remained to be seen whether goods will be impacted in the domestic market.

According to market participants, the above products were mainly produced by the East China steel mills as the Chinese government decided to remove the export tax rebate, and many steel mills scrambled for orders, including some stocks in Chinese bonded warehouses.

At present, Taiwanese steel mills have imported more than 50,000 tons of cold-rolled steel products from China since July so far, and there are still goods continuing to arrive at the port.
