Taiwanese stainless steel wire rod imports & exports fall in Aug

In August, Taiwanese stainless steel wire rod exports amounted to about 9,000 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 20.6%.

Meanwhile, Thailand was the leading country that imported most of Taiwan’s stainless wire rods, with 1,438 tons, followed by South Korea’s 1,336 tons and China’s 1,311 tons.

Regarding stainless steel wire rod imports, Taiwan’s imports amounted to 1,045 tons, dropping by 16.6% month on month. Among them, the imports from Japan, South Korea, and Vietnam totaled about 670 tons, 170 tons, and 67 tons, respectively.
