Taiwan’s 300 series stainless steel HRC imports & price grow in Nov

Taiwan's imports of 300 series stainless steel hot-rolled coils returned to more than 60,000 tons in November, reaching 60,598 tons, an increase of 16.37% from October, the largest volume in a single month since July. Besides, import prices have risen for two consecutive months, approaching NT$60,000.

The import volume reached 74,668 tons in January, a new high since August 2021, while it shrank to 32,337 tons in February. After rebounding to 71,905 tons in June, it has been below 60,000 tons since July. The import price bottomed out in February but rose again in November.

In terms of exports, the volume in November was 132 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 64.2%. However, the export price rose sharply by more than NT$8,200 from October, showing a trend of volume reduction and price increase.
