With the development trend of ESG and in response to the government's requirements for carbon footprint, leading enterprises in Taiwan's aluminum industry are discussing the feasibility of adopting recycled aluminum (also known as environmentally friendly aluminum or clean aluminum) that can significantly reduce carbon emissions.

After the material standards are established, and the material's manufacturing process, tensile strength, yield, chemical properties, extrusion conditions, bending, welding, and other characteristics meet the processing requirements, it is expected that recycled aluminum will become a new primary trend in the development of the aluminum industry and an excellent solution to the ESG challenges.

The Ukrainian-Russian war led to an imbalance in the supply of aluminum. At the same time, the government began to require ESG and carbon footprint tracking controls in the building materials industry. It is imperative and imminent to promote the development of clean aluminum.
