US’ CRC imports slide in Jun

According to the preliminary Census Bureau data from the US Department of Commerce (USDOC), the US imported around 101,000 tons of cold-rolled flat-rolled products in June this year, falling by 21% compared to the previous month and by 25% from the same month a year earlier.

Among them, the imports from Canada accounted for the largest proportion, totaling around 48,400 tons, a month-on-month increase of 13.7% and a year-on-year increase of 1%. Other major import sources included Australia (around 15,000 tons) and South Korea (around 10,500 tons).

During the period, the import value totaled around US$122 million, down by 19% month on month and 43% year on year.
