Russia’s stainless steel production grows in Jun

According to statistics from the Russian Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat), Russia’s stainless steel production totaled around 30,000 tons in June, rising by 14% compared to the preceding month and by 60.8% from the same month a year ago.

In the first half of this year, Russia produced a total of roughly 123,300 tons of stainless steel, a year-on-year increase of 27%. The growth in output was supported by steady demand.

In terms of imports, Russia’s stainless steel imports in June dropped by 9.3% month on month and rose by 45% year on year, reaching 42,000 tons. Among them, China was the largest supplier, accounting for a proportion of 56%.
