Taiwan’s CSC hikes new prices for Oct & Q4

China Steel Corporation (CSC), the largest carbon steel manufacturer in Taiwan, announced its new prices for October and the fourth quarter, and the price adjustment was in line with the market estimate, with an average increase of 3.36%.

According to the price announcement, the price of electrical steel (ES) coils was hiked by NT$1,000/ton, and that of hot-rolled plate was up by NT$500/ton. The price for hot-rolled and cold-rolled materials, and hot-dip galvanized steel coil was separately hiked by NT$700/ton.

In terms of the quarterly prices, the price of electro-galvanized steel and hot-dip galvanized coils for home appliances and computers was hiked by NT$1,000/ton, and other items’ prices were raised by NT$500-900/ton.
