Encouraged by China's bullish financial policies, Shanghai Nickel price and stainless steel futures prices have performed strongly in recent days, with increases of 1.31% and 1.56% respectively.

Owing to the bullish news, some steel mills and distributors began to raise offers, and spot market prices have increased slightly.

However, September to October is the traditional peak season, and all mills have planned high production capacity, but the actual transaction situation is not as good as expected.

Compared with the Chinese market, Taiwan's stainless steel market is quite calm. Market participants pointed out that there was little positive news in the domestic market, competition in the export market was fierce, coupled with a high freight rate, and order acceptance was not ideal.

Therefore, downstream manufacturers estimated that the October base rate may have a higher probability to keep flat, and then negotiate the price according to customers' demand.
