Taiwan’s stainless steel HRC imports surge in Apr

According to statistics, Taiwan imported a total of around 113,400 tons of stainless steel hot-rolled coil (HRC) in April, surging by 14.6% compared to the previous month, which has risen for 3 consecutive months.

In terms of exports, Taiwan’s stainless steel HRC export volume totaled 19,700 tons in March 2019, which was the highest figure in 2019. The exports in February this year dropped to around 9,600 tons and rebounded to roughly 10,200 tons in March, while the number in April decreased sharply by 32.1% month on month to about 6,900 tons.
