Taiwan’s stainless steel straight bar imports & exports decrease in Apr

According to statistics from Taiwan Customs, Taiwan’s stainless steel straight bar imports totaled around 540 tons in April this year, falling by 24% compared to the previous month.

Among them, the imports from South Korea accounted for the largest proportion, totaling roughly 210 tons, a month-on-month increase of 88.5%. India ranked second with 190 tons, down by 46.7% month on month. Japan occupied nearly 70 tons, sliding by 57% month on month.

In terms of exports, the volume dropped by 3.7% month on month to 440 tons. China received the most, totaling around 120 tons, a month-on-month hike of 55.2%.
