Romania’s Liberty Galati installs new pipe coating line to increase high value-added product portfolio

Liberty Galati, the largest steel producer in Romania, announced that it had invested RON 40 million to complete the installation of a new and highly automated pipe coating line to expand its high-value-added product portfolio.
In addition, the new line could allow Liberty Galati to become the only regional provider of 100% in-house coated pipes from its own plates. The annual capacity of the new lines amounted to 100,000 tons.
The investment made a global market worth of Liberty Galati exceed US$8 billion.
