Taiwan’s stainless steel wire rod exports decrease in Feb

According to data from Taiwan’s customs, in February, Taiwan’s stainless steel wire rod exports reached about 8,200 tons, decreasing by 19.6% month on month. Among them, South Korea was the main export destination, growing by 16.9% month on month to about 2,000 tons. The followings were Thailand (dropping by 58.2% month on month to about 1,000 tons) and China (decreasing by 39.8% month on month to about 850 tons).

During the same month, Taiwan’s stainless steel wire rod imports were about 950 tons, a month-on-month increase of 25.7%. In specific, the top three import sources were Japan (hiking by 62.2% to about 670 tons), South Korea (decreasing by 25.7% month on month to about 168 tons), and India (soaring by 173% to 100 tons).
