Taiwan’s stainless steel wire rod exports slightly increase in 2022

According to statistics, Taiwan’s stainless steel wire rod exports totaled around 8,100 tons in December last year, falling by 3.8% compared to the previous month.

Among them, the exports to Thailand were up by 56% to 2,000 tons, those to China dropped by 4.8% to 1,400 tons, and those to South Korea increased slightly by 0.08% to 1,100 tons, all compared to the preceding month.

In the whole year of 2022, Taiwan’s stainless steel wire rod exports amounted to approximately 112,500 tons, a small year-on-year increase of 0.27%.

In terms of imports, Taiwan imported 655 tons of stainless steel wire rods last December, down by 50.3% month on month. The imports in 2022 amounted to roughly 18,600 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 7.2%.
