Walsin Lihwa, one of the steel wire rod manufacturers in Taiwan, announced to hike its stainless steel wire rod prices for December this morning (November 27) in order to reflect the cost of surged raw materials prices, including nickel, copper, molybdenum, and scrap metals, as well as tight demand for containers and rising shipping freight charges.

According to the price adjustment, 304’s price for domestic sales was raised by NT$2,000/ton, and that for export sales was hiked by US$100/ton. The surcharge of copper series for domestic and export sales was increased by NT$1,000/ton and US$30/ton, respectively.
