Yieh United Steel Corp. (Yusco), a leading stainless steel mill in Taiwan, announced its new prices for March today (February 25), in line with market participants’ expectations.

According to the price adjustment, the domestic price of 304 hot-rolled and cold-rolled coil was hiked by NT$5,000/ton, and that of 430 products was up by NT$1,500/ton. The surcharge of 316L was also raised by NT$2,000/ton.

In terms of export prices, 304 was raised by US$150-200/ton, 430 was hiked by US$70-150/ton, and the surcharge of 316L was up by US$80/ton.

Yusco said the moderate adjustment of its prices was due to a sharp increase in costs of imported raw materials, including higher prices of nickel, ferrochrome, and scrap.
