Due to a sharp rise in processing fees, a rise in base prices for the second consecutive month, continued supply shortages, stainless steel sheets in the US reached a peak in the past 9 years this month.

The COVID-19 epidemic last year has led to a decrease in the production of stainless steel sheets.

This year, Allegheny Technologies (ATI) decided to end production operations, which further tightened the supply and even extended the delivery period.

At the same time, the hot sales of home appliances and automobiles have greatly increased the demand for related stainless steel materials, and the price rose sharply.

Market participants predicted that the supply shortage will continue for several more months.
