Yieh United Steel Corp. (Yusco), a leading stainless steel mill in Taiwan, announced its new prices for March today (February 25).

According to the price adjustment, the price of 304 cold-rolled and hot-rolled was hiked by NT$6,000/ton, that of 430 cold-rolled and hot-rolled was raised by NT$2,000/ton, and the surcharge of 316L was also up by NT$1,000/ton.

In terms of export prices, 304 products will be subject to a price hike of US$220-250/ton, and the prices of 430 and 316L were raised by US$70/ton and US$100/ton, respectively.

Yusco said that the price adjustment was due to the recovered market demand, coupled with rising costs due to higher prices of raw materials, such as nickel, chromium, molybdenum, copper, and scrap.

In addition, due to the tension between Russia and Ukraine, the supply of raw materials became uncertain, which was a reason for Yusco to hike its prices.
