Yieh United Steel Corp. (Yusco) and Tang Eng Iron Works Co., Ltd., two leading stainless steel upstream manufacturers in Taiwan, decided not to announce new prices for May but take individual bargaining ways for new orders based on the market condition.

The decision not to announce prices was mainly due to the current large changes in raw materials and demand. Raw materials prices are rising, while the demand is not very strong, so the mills thought the new price could be negotiated according to customers’ actual requirements.

Since this year, the two steel mills’ price adjustments have been the same.
