The world crude steel capacity declined 2.5% in 2020

According to the statistic from ISSF, the global crude steel capacity total amount 50.89 million tons in 2020, fall 2.5% to 52.21 million tons compared with last year. Among them, Europe and the United States were decreased by 7.1% and 17.3% year on year. The production of Chinese crude steel around 30.13 million tons, increased 29.40 million tons to 2.5% compared with last year.

Asia area not including China, Korea and Indonesia around 6.42 million tons declined 7.89 million tons to 18.6% compared with last year. Another area (Brazil, Russia, South Africa, Korea, Indonesia) around 5.85 million tons, increased 5.52 million tons to 6% compared with last year.
