Turkey imports less stainless steel in Jan

According to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), Turkey imported 65,000 tons of stainless steel in January this year, falling by 6% compared to the same month a year ago. These imports had a total value of US$190 million, a year-on-year increase of 58%.

During the period, Indonesia was the largest import source, with a volume of 24,500 tons, up by 8 times year on year. China ranked second with roughly 16,000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 38%, followed by South Korea’s 10,000 tons.
