Turkey’s hot-rolled coil exports increase in Aug

According to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in August, Turkey’s hot-rolled coil (HRC) exports increased by 8% from the same month a year ago and hiked by 60.2% from the previous month to about 120,000 tons. Meanwhile, the export value amounted to US$79.66 million, increasing by 43.2% month on month but decreasing by 9.7% year on year.

In the first eight months, Turkey’s HRC exports totaled about 689,000 tons, falling by 35.1% from the corresponding period last year. In the same period, the export value was US$506.5 million, dropping by 49.6% year on year.
