Turkey’s stainless steel coil imports grow in H1

According to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), Turkey imported around 47,000 tons of stainless steel coil in the first half of this year, growing by 3.1% compared to the same period a year ago, due to low offers from China attracting buyers’ willingness to purchase.
During the given period, the imports from China reached 203,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 52%. Turkey imported 126,000 tons from Indonesia, soaring by 293.8% year on year. The imports from South Korea dropped by 38% year on year to 50,000 tons.
