Norwegian aluminum producer Norsk Hydro said on its website that the recertification of Hydro Extrusions’ ASI Performance Standard certification has been completed and will be valid until May 2025.

The certification covers 47 extrusion plants, located in Asia, Europe, and South America. Besides, more than two-thirds of the plants have also obtained ASI Chain of Custody (CoC) certification.

Paul Warton, Executive Vice President of Hydro Extrusions, said that the ASI certification enhances the company’s competitive position in a green aluminum market where the demand is growing rapidly.

Apart from the extrusion sites, Hydro’s businesses in aluminum metal, bauxite, and alumina are also certified according to ASI’s two standards.
