Turkey’s stainless steel imports increase in Oct

According to statistics from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), Turkey’s stainless steel imports totaled 55,000 tons in October, of which 24,800 tons came from China, which doubled compared to the same month a year ago.

In the first ten months of this year, Turkey’s stainless steel imports from China had a year-on-year increase of 86% to roughly 208,000 tons; followed by South Korea (112,000 tons, a year-on-year drop of 15.2%), Indonesia (77,500 tons, a year-on-year increase of more than doubled), Spain (30,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 20%), and Italy (27,000 tons, a year-on-year hike of 28.5%).
