Turkish crude steel production rises in Jan

According to statistics from Turkish Iron and Steel Producers' Association (TCUD), Turkish crude steel production totaled around 3.4 million tons in January, rising by 12.7% from the same month a year ago.

During the same period, the country’s steel exports reached 1.3 million tons, a year-on-year reduction of 15.5%, and the steel imports had a year-on-year decline of 14.3% to 1.2 million tons.
