UK initiates AD investigation on China’s aluminum extrusions

On June 21, 2021, UK’s Trade Remedies Authority (TRA) issued an announcement that it has initiated an anti-dumping (AD) investigation on aluminum extrusions originating in China, following an application filed by the domestic company Hydro Aluminium UK Limited.

The products involved are alloy or non-alloy aluminum bars, rods, profiles (whether or not hollow), tubes, pipes; unassembled; whether or not prepared for use in structures (e.g. cut to length, drilled, bent, chamfered, threaded), with an aluminum content of not more than 99.3%, under HS codes 76041010, 76041090, 76042100, 76042910, 76042990, 76081000, 76082081, 76082089, and 76109090.

The period of investigation was from June 1, 2020 to May 31, 2021, and the injury assessment period was from June 1, 2017 to May 31, 2021.
