Ukraine's steelmaker ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih (AMKR), whose plant is located in central Ukraine, has gradually started to restart the plant's equipment and aims to sell its products to new markets.

AMKR's CEO said that he expected the company to add enough coal supply to restart other blast furnaces. After this, the production of finished products can be increased.

At present, the company has restarted the No. 6 blast furnace and an oxygen steelmaking furnace.

Once the company has enough coal stock, it will be able to restart the No. 8 blast furnace, which can increase the current 30% capacity to 50%. The restart was expected to be implemented in June.
